Manifesto: Why and How We Created Future

Discover our vision. In the face of digital amnesia, we have built a secure sanctuary for your family memories.

Saving our memories from digital amnesia

Have you noticed how we have never photographed our lives so much, and yet, how we no longer pass anything on? Today, our phones are overflowing with tens of thousands of shots, drowning between screenshots and blurry photos. The true emotional legacy gets lost in the noise.

It is from this alarming realization, this true "digital amnesia", that Future was born.

"We want to give weight back to time, and value back to your most precious memories."

Shifting from archiving to intentional legacy

Future is not just another cloud storage space or a simple virtual hard drive. It is a true time machine, designed for your emotions and your most intimate messages.

We have rethought the way memories are transmitted. Imagine being able to record a video message full of tenderness today, and lock it so that it automatically opens only on your child's 18th birthday. Imagine being able to send words of encouragement to your partner for 10 years from now. That is the unique promise of our targeted time capsules. You are no longer just storing; you are scheduling a future emotion.

A digital fortress built to withstand decades

Obviously, entrusting messages for the next 10, 20, or 30 years requires absolute trust. Because your memories are priceless, we have made no compromises on technology.

We have built an ultra-robust backend architecture. Your capsules are encrypted in transit and at rest, and kept on cold storage infrastructures (AWS Glacier technology), protecting them from hardware failures, lost passwords, or USB drives that eventually die at the bottom of a drawer. The experience of our mobile application has been designed to be as smooth as it is secure: you capture, you lock, and we take care of protecting your legacy through time.

Where to start your journey?

Creating your first capsule can seem intimidating. Here are some ideas to get you started today:

  • The big day: Film your first impressions, your fears, and your joys on the day your child is born.

  • The compass: Record a precious piece of life advice, to be unlocked for your loved ones in a moment when they will need it.

  • The inner dialogue: Write an honest, unfiltered letter to your 10-years-older "Self". Where do you hope to be?

Your family's future is written today. Do not let your stories disappear with your next phone. Seal them in a Future capsule.
